In the first week I get to know you, your needs and your difficulties. We set some structure around your day and eating habits. Using my nutritional assessment questionnaire we will identify the ways I can best help you to achieve your goals. We establish your weight, body mass index, fat mass and basal metabolic rate and body measurements. Everything is confidential and carried out on a one to one basis.
In week two we review the new structure and you learn how to incorporate the changes into your meals and snacks with new recipes and meal planner. We start looking at the key food groups (fats, protein and carbohydrate) in your diet and understand where the imbalance is that is contributing to your difficulties. We build on the structure in your day with some intermittent fasting if it suits your schedule. Sleep is an important aspect that we start to look at here also.
In week 3 we review your food diary and discuss the difference the new food choices have made to your energy, mood and we expect to see some changes in your body measurements. We readjust your goal to suit your changing reality. Digestion is an ongoing focus here also where any bloating, bowel issues are discussed.
In week four good healthy habits are forming around meal planning, mindful eating, healthy food choices. We build from these towards your goals and find new ways to facilitate you to achieve them.
In week five, were now setting you up to continue to eat and live a healthier lifestyle that is sustainable going forward. We review progress towards your set goal and see what tweaks and adjustment need to be made to help you achieve this goal during the week.
Congratulations you have achieved your goal. This week is about planning for future weight management and coping strategies for those stressful times and tricky moments that can threaten to undo your great success.
